Amsterdam (8th May 2013) - Day 3

Today was supposed to rain and overcast most of the day. We woke up to find sunshine!  We thought that we would start early and go to the Heineken Brewery, we went for breakfast in a cafe ion a canal. Wasn't too impressed by the meal but it was needed food!  We had a tour round the brewery which was about an hour long we learnt about the history and making of the beer. Afterward we were allowed two free beers at the end if the tour.  We stopped for lunch after and had a few more beers. I had a bacon pancake which was recommended to me! Safe to say it was awesome! We spend an hour is so in the hostel before we decided to go out and get some food. We also decided to spend out last night smoking the last of our "herbs".  I can't remember what time we got back to the hostel but it wasn't too late. Around 12am I would say, we had to be up early to get out of the room by 11am so it was probably going to be an early night!  Home time tomorrow. (God I miss my bed....

Amsterdam (May 9th 2013) - Day 4

It's home time! Amsterdam has been awesome! Although I'm kind of fed up of the amount if sex shops and live porno. But hey it was a laugh!  We got kicked out if the hostel room at 11am so we woke up slightly earlier that we had been the last few days. We all packed and got ready for breaky!  We went for a walk down to the square we had out first drink in (the one with the red castle) and yes it will forever be known as that, only because I can't remember what it was called.  After breakfast we went looking for a few souvenirs to take back with us. I didn't bother getting anything because I was down to my last €20. But I'm sure bit wont be my last time in this city.   We got the right train this time! Not much hassle getting back to the airport we got a free ride on the train cause the barriers were open.  When we got to the airport it was like a maze, they had two departure sections and it was just all very awkward and yeah. Anyway... I'm writing this on the fli...

Amsterdam (May 7th 2013) - Day 2

Woke up with no sleep probably a max of 3 hours. Today we had a walk outside if the tourist area into the main city prices were a lot cheaper and the food was better!  For breakfast we found a cafe for coffee and a bakery that sold pasties, after we bought out food we say down in the sun on one of the canals to eat it.  We didn't leave the hostel till about 12pm but that was because some if us had a hangover. We walked down the shopping high street in Amsterdam, we couldn't get over how many H&M's they had. There were at least 6 in one street.  We went for lunch in a small cafe which served awesome food! I had a baguette with pork and gravy which tasted amazing!  After lunch we went to see the Ann grand museum, unfortunately the line was about an hour and a half long so we didn't bother.  We went back to the hostel for an hour or more. Unfortunately we put the TV on and watched it for more than one hour it was more like 3. Oh we'll.  We went to our firs...

Amsterdam (May 6th 2013) - Day 1

For once it's not skiing! Pitty ide rather be snow over it ha haa! So I set off to Cardiff Bus station about 6am I met up with my friends (Alex, Helen, James and Ben) we took a bus from Cardiff to Bristol Airport, it was a pretty quick journey it was early morning so there want any traffic on the roads. We arrived at Bristol Airport and met up with Rich, he took the bus or train I can't remember. He came from Exeter where he's studying in Uni. For breakfast it was a Burger King and a Pint of Amstel Beer, oh and a red bull. The flight was delayed by about 15mins but it wasn't a big deal. We took off at about 9:35am and arrived in Amsterdam at about 11:10am (Amsterdam time) the flight was quick and smooth. I found it weird being on a plane for about an hour, I'm too used to travelling to the US when it takes about 7 hours! Once we landed we got out bags and caught the train to Amsterdam Central being me I lost my train ticket within the first 20mins of havin...
